She explained that a kind heart shows empathy by understanding and caring about others, and inspired John Jrto do kind things like cheer up a sad friend or bring a toy to a crying sibling. She said a kind heart always have good intentions. 4. John Jr and Nazut' visit was over and John Jr took his musical box home. John Jr was a bit temperamental and he couldn't get his box to open. He started practicing patience and his temper tantrums disappeared and he fi rally had the kindness in his heart for box to open and play Space Oddity. 5. Then John Jr and Nazut were floating on space. They became friends with a young star. That star gives John Jr a tour of the universe. John Jr especially enjoyed seeing Planet X. 6. John Jr return back home and get ready to eat dinner.

Page 1-2 Dad isn’t here anymore. I think about him a lot. Page 3-4 I look around and see Dad’s things. “I miss Dad.” Page 5-6 Mom rests a hand on my shoulder. “Let’s make a memory box. We can keep Dad’s love inside.” Page 7-8 I look up at her. “What’s a memory box?” Mom sits beside me. “It’s a special place where we can keep things that remind us of Dad.” Page 9-10 I think about it and nod. “I like that idea.” Page 11-12 We look in the basement and find a box. I run my hand over the lid. “Let’s decorate it. I want it to look just right.” Page 13-14 I draw a heart, and Mom helps me write “I love Dad.” Now our box is ready. Page 15-16 We look for Dad’s things. I find his football jersey and hold it close. “It smells like him.” Page 17-18 We find football tickets. I smile. “I remember that game—it was so fun!” Page 19-20 I find a shiny rock. Me and Dad found this on the beach. “It’s lucky.” Page 21-22 I put everything inside the box and close the lid. “Now I have a box of love.” Page 23-24 The next morning, I open the box. I take out Dad’s jersey and hold it tight. I feel connected to him. Page 25-26 Then I look at the rock and remember our trip to the beach. I smile. Mom hugs me. “Dad isn’t here, but love never leaves.” I close the box and hold it close. Dad will always be with me.

I was a little girl about seven years old and we had gone to my grandparents for Christmas. Their house was three or four hours away from mine and I was so worried that Santa wouldn’t find me. He was Christmas Eve and I was having a hard time going to sleep and my mom came in to try to settle me and I was crying because I wanted to make sure Santa Claus could find so he could put the presents under the tree for me, my grandpa came in my room and said not to fret that he knew Santa would be able to find me and for me to go and settle in my bed and everything would be OK. seem like hours was only 10 minutes and I heard the phone ring. My grandpa come running into my room and said Cat come run to the phone it’s for you and I was kind of confused because I was only little and who would be calling me on Christmas Eve? I got to the phone and I heard magical bells. I couldn’t believe my ears. It was Santa Claus, I was like Santa not really you and he said yes and I know where to find you

It was Thursday, and Mohan's class teacher announced a special potluck party for Friday to celebrate Janmashtami, which was coming up that weekend. She asked all the students to gather in a circle and placed a bowl in the centre. The bowl was filled with colourful chits, each one with the name of a different dish written on it. Excitement filled the classroom as each student took turns picking a chit from the bowl. Whatever dish was written on their chit was the one they needed to bring to the class party. Family grew stronger, like roots in the ground, In that tree so grand, where love could be found. The owl hooted softly, the ladybird sighed, The bee buzzed a little lullaby. In the heart of the oak, in the shelter they wove, The trio found solace, in unity and love.
