Jaxen and Grandpa hang out and work around the house. as grandpa racks the leaves jaxen jumps in the pile of leaves making a bigger mess. jaxen is having fun, and grandpa laughs with amusment. then the jump on grandpas red scooter and cruse around the block. then the go to a car show and look at all the old cars. Jaxen loves cars and wants a Red hot rod like grandpa. they go back home to enjoy some cookies and juice. as grandpa lays jaxen down to bed, he wishes jaxen a good night sleep.

João sempre explicava para as crianças o que os brinquedos faziam de legal, mas também falava sobre as coisas que não eram tão legais, como quando o brinquedo fazia barulho demais ou não funcionava muito bem em alguns momentos. Ele queria que todos soubessem a verdade para que pudessem decidir o que era melhor para eles. No final da semana, João conseguiu vender 6 brinquedos. Pedro, por outro lado, só falava das partes legais dos brinquedos e escondia as partes que não eram tão boas. Ele dizia o que as crianças queriam ouvir, mesmo que não fosse completamente verdade. No final da semana, Pedro conseguiu vender 13 brinquedos. Muitas crianças compraram os brinquedos de Pedro porque ele contou coisas que pareciam muito boas, mas que não eram verdadeiras. Isso fez com que algumas crianças ficassem tristes quando descobriram que os brinquedos não eram tão legais quanto Pedro havia dito. A história nos ensina que, mesmo que seja tentador dizer só o que as pessoas querem ouvir, a verdade é muito importante. Quando dizemos a verdade, estamos sendo honestos, e isso nos ajuda a ficar mais perto de Deus.

I’m Apple, and I’m a bunny. This is my cozy little home! I really love it here! But being part of the Apple family can be tough sometimes. We’ve planted so many fruits and veggies! Oh no! The crows keep swooping down, stealing our hard work! When the villagers blame us for the food shortage, it makes me sad that there’s nothing left to eat! It feels like we’re always on the menu! It’s like a constant game of hide and seek! Then one day, a red fox named Flower came to our village. Some animals were curious, but some bunnies were scared. I was nervous too and wondered why she was being so nice. I wanted to say hi, but I just couldn’t because I was too shy. It felt like my heart was doing a little pitter-patter. Flower started helping us out, working side by side and showing us how to farm better. She helped us grow our fruits and veggies really well! She told tail-wagging tales about her adventures and how she learned different ways to plant seeds. I started to feel more comfortable around her as I listened. One day, while we were planting together, I noticed that Flower struggled to reach a high branch. Gathering my courage, I hopped over to her. “Do you want me to help?” I squeaked, my heart racing like a hare. She looked surprised but smiled back at me. “That would be great, Apple!” I felt a thrill inside when she said my name! I helped her reach the branch, and we laughed together as we worked. It was the first time I’d really spoken to her, and it made me realize that talking to new friends wasn’t so scary. Who knew making friends could be so paws-itively delightful? As days went by, Flower and I grew closer. I learned she had a big heart and wanted to help our village. Together, we found ways to scare away the crows with shiny distractions. Talk about a sparkly strategy!
