According to the Quranic narrative, Habil and Qabil were the sons of Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) and his wife Hawwa (Eve). They were the first human family on Earth. Both brothers were given offerings to present to Allah, and it was ordained that Allah would accept the offering of the one who was righteous. Allah accepted Habil's offering but rejected Qabil's. This made Qabil jealous and angry. In his jealousy, Qabil was consumed by the desire to harm his brother. Allah sent a raven to show Qabil how to bury the body of his brother, as the concept of death was unknown to them at that time. Qabil, overwhelmed by guilt and regret, repented and asked for forgiveness.

Mello was excited and a bit nervous. It was his first day at a new school. With his backpack filled and a big smile on his face, he walked into class. But something stood out—he was the only Black student there. The other kids glanced at him but quickly returned to their conversations. Mello took a deep breath and sat down. Skylar spoke up, “I’ve never had a friend like you before.” Mello smiled. “That’s okay! I’ve never had friends like you either. We can learn from each other.” There was a pause, then Tristan shrugged. “Sure! You’re it!” he said, tapping Mello’s shoulder. Mello laughed and chased them. As they played, Mello realized it didn’t matter that he looked different—what mattered was having fun together. After the game, Skylar told Mello, “You’re fast! I’m glad you joined us.” From that day, Mello and his new friends found how much they had in common. They loved the same games, cartoons, and jokes. But they also learned from each other. Tristan was curious about Mello’s favorite foods, and Mello enjoyed learning about Skylar’s family traditions. Mello realized that being different wasn’t something to fear—it made him special. His friends saw that their differences made their friendship even stronger. In the end, Mello knew one thing for sure: being unique wasn’t just okay—it was beautiful.

Can you get me a piece of string from the drawer?” Imoni’s eyes grew wide. “String? What for?” “We’ll tie it to your tooth and give it a quick pull.” Arthur explained gently. Imoni hesitated. “But what if it hurts, Daddy?  Arthur knelt down to her level. “I know you’re scared, sweetheart. But trust me, I’ll be gentle, and it’ll only take a second. You’re so brave, and I’ll be right here with you.” Imoni looked into her daddy’s kind eyes. She took a deep breath and nodded. “Okay, Daddy. I trust you.” Arthur carefully tied the string around Imoni’s loose tooth. “Ready, sweetheart?” he asked. Imoni squeezed her eyes shut and held her daddy’s hand. “Ready,” she whispered. “On the count of three,” Arthur said. “One… two…” Before he got to three, he gave a quick tug, and the tooth popped right out! Imoni opened her eyes. “Wait… is it out?” Arthur held up the tiny tooth. “It’s out! You did it, Imoni!” Imoni touched the gap in her mouth and smiled. “It didn’t even hurt!” she said, giggling. “I told you,” Arthur said, hugging her. “Sometimes, trusting someone makes all the difference. "That night, Imoni placed her tiny tooth under her pillow and climbed into bed. She felt proud and brave. Arthur kissed her forehead. “Goodnight, my brave girl. I’m so proud of you.”

Even though it’s hard, she finds comfort in knowing they are still one big, loving family. Sadie was a bright and creative girl who loved animals, art, and softball. Nylon is having issues embracing his natural curly locks. Nylon has tried everything to cover his natural curly hair from wearing baseball caps, pulling hoodies over his head with the drawstring tightly. Nylon thought to himself one night maybe if I spray my head with water and hold my hands on top of my head for 10 minutes my hair would flatten, while this did make Nylon's hair less poofy, by the time morning arrived Nylon hair was curlier and puffer than ever. Nylon figured the only other option he had was to ask his father if he could get his haircut. So, one Saturday morning Nylon's father took him to the local barbershop to get a haircut. Although this is what Nylon thought was going to be life changing, he still didn't feel any different, eventhough his hair was now gone. When Nylon returned to school on Monday all the kids were looking and pointing not quite the response Nylon was looking for, one of his classmates Syer asked him "Heyyyy, why did you cut your hair? "I thought your hair was really cool looking, I wish my hair would curl like that." Nylon gave a slight smile but on the inside he felt confused, but realized that none ever told him that they did not like his locks, no one ever made fun of him that he had extra curly hair, but instead it was his insecurities about his locks that made him feel that everyone else felt the exact same way that he did. From that day on Nylon realized sometimes being different is what makes us all be unique. Nylon went back home and told his dad that he thinks he will let his hair grow back.
